Have you heard this remarkable story before?
In 1968, a group of determined women working at the Ford plant in Dagenham, England went on strike for equal pay. With humour and courage, these completely un-politicized women fought to have the Equal Pay Act passed in parliament. As a result of their actions, they helped to pave the way for all women in all industries today.
Do you know that women in 2010 still do not earn equal pay?
Join us for a special screening of Made In Dagenham followed by a discussion on the film and the current pay equity situation in Ontario with Johanna Schneller (The Globe and Mail) and Mary Cornish (Chair of the Equal Pay Coalition of Ontario). Popcorn and beverage included in price.
When: Sunday, December 12
9:30 am – 12:00 Noon
Where: The Varsity Theatre
Manulife Centre – 50 Bloor St. W
